FixPack 42 for OS/2 Warp Connect

Hi all, I’ve just ordered the fixpack 42 CD from the os2ss.com site.
Is fixpack 42 the one I want? If not, I’d like to try to change my
order if they have 40 or less. Also, I’m going to buy the ActiveTec
external 56K modem that is compatible with OS/2 and Windows, anyone
have experience with this modem? Is it the right choice? For $100.00 I
sure hope so.

TIA,

George

Latest PC Card Director for ThinkPads?

I noticed that there’s a new PC Card Director package for ThinkPads,
ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/os2ddpak/cardbus.exe.
According to http://www.warpupdates.de/english/hard_pccard.html, it’s
version 10.037.

I installed it on a ThinkPad 560X w/ Warp 3 Connect (FP42) and on a
ThinkPad 600E w/ Warp 4 (FP13). Strangely enough, the installer
(PCMINST2.EXE) stated the version was 4.02. After the package was
installed and the machine rebooted, Help – About Plug and Play for
PCMCIA yielded version 3.0 (it was 4.12 before).

The critical driver files (PCMCIA.SYS, IBM2SS14.SYS etc.) have recent
date stamps (Jan/Feb-2000), so I guess the package itself must be new.
I’m just confused by the contradictory version numbers. Also, the
device matrix pages for the ThinkPads (eg.
http://www.pc.ibm.com/qtechinfo/DSHY-3TLQ2L.html for the TP600)
haven’t been updated to include the new PC Card Director (4.12,
9-27-99 is still listed as the latest PCMCIA driver).

Does anyone understand something about this PC Card Director business?

Thanks, Dominique

WarpCenter config

Ok where does the infor for what the Warp Center has in its trays stored?
I’ve lost/crashed it a few times and would like to back it up periodicaly.

Doesn’t seem to be in the OS2.INI nor OS2SYS.INI.  ANd I haven’t found a
WarpCenter.INI (or something like it)

And while we’re on it, where are the pop-up menu items stored? (same thing)
