ALPS Printer Drivers…

Hello,

My brother just got a new printer for X-mas, an ALPS MD-2010 color printer
and we cannot find any drivers for OS/2, actually I can find no drivers at
all for any ALPS printer model :-(

If anyone knows of any drivers for ALPS printers, I(we) would appreciate
it very much…

You mean someone bought your brother a gift without first checking whether he
    can use it?  Tsk tsk!

There are two places you can check: the DD Pak web site, and the ALPS web
site.  You can also try DejaNews.  If you don’t get anywhere, then you’ll have
to return the printer and get something compatible.

I recommend an Epson – they have great OS/2 drivers on hobbes.

I looked at an ALPS MD1000 over the holidays, and was extremely
impressed by the quality of the printout.  So I emailed ALPS and
asked if an OS/2 driver was available.  The answer?

"No, and we don’t plan to do one, either."

    Take it back.  :)
